The Group Travel Awards
Welcome to the Group Travel Awards - the annual celebration of the very best suppliers to the group travel industry. Each year the group travel organiser readers of Group Travel Organiser magazine are asked to vote for who they think are the best suppliers in more than 20 categories. From the pre-visit information and transport to get the group there to where groups stay and what they visit when they get there, all aspects of putting together group trips are covered. Once the votes are counted - and who better to decide the winners than the group travel organiser customers of group suppliers - a list of finalists is published in Group Travel Organiser magazine and all the finalists are notified. To have reached this stage is indeed an accolade considering the many suppliers in this market.
The results are announced as part of gala evening of entertainment held annually in London in June, regularly attended by over 400 key members of the travel trade. To retain an air of anticaption on the night, winners are not notified before the event and will not know they have won until the golden envelope is opened on the stage. This year's presentation took take place at the four star deluxe Radission SAS Portman Hotel in London on Friday 20th June 2008. You can find more details about the venue here.
